Kicking Off BendFilm Festival

OPENING NIGHT AT BENDFILM FESTIVAL

Sagebrush Sisters, a Wahoo Films’ production, will be kicking off the 13th annual BendFilm Festival at the Tower Theater in Bend, Oregon. Jenny Conlee of The Decemberists will be playing a set before Sagebrush Sisters and the night’s feature film, Voyagers Without Trace.

Voyagers Without Trace is the latest documentary by Portland, Oregon native Ian McCluskey.

About The Films:

Sagebrush Sisters

Sagebrush Sisters is a short documentary (7 minutes) that follows three women, ages 65 to 80, as they hike over 50 miles. The three women follow the pronghorn migration path across the high desert. The film explores restoration, conservation, and politics surrounding ‘The Land Between’. Directed by Michelle Alvarado and produced with Oregon Natural Desert Association.

Voyagers Without Trace

Voyagers Without Trace is the latest feature documentary Ian McCluskey of Portland, Oregon. The film follow three French adventurers who were sought to be the first to kayak the Green and Colorado Rivers in 1938.

Jenny Conlee

Be sure to get to the Tower Theater in time to hear original music by Jenny Conlee, best known for playing a multitude of instruments for The Decemberists. Jenny and her husband, Steve Drizos, provided original music for Voyagers Without Trace and will perform a short set to kick off the 13th Annual BendFilm Festival!
