State of Forests

Union of Concerned Scientists wanted a video highlighting and discussing the serious problem of climate-linked forest death. The story was told through scientists discussing how the amount of climate-linked forest death that’s already occurred is roughly the size of the state of Colorado. Wahoo Films collaborated on the script, captured scientist interviews in Colorado and New Mexico, and worked with UCS to collect various stock footage from private resources. With some animation and color balance, we were able to mix all of the footage and photographs to give the video a fluid visual story. The video helped further their Rocky Mountain Forests at Risk outreach efforts.
