Bend, Oregon Living Sculpture
Wahoo Films produced a kiosk video documenting Greg Congleton’s sculpture “Two Bits” donated to Bend Parks and Rec Department by Phil and Penny Knight. You may recognize the sculpture as one of the Bend, Oregon roundabout art pieces.
This life-size horse logging sculpture was commissioned to celebrate the timber industry that put Bend on the map in the early 1900s. Brooks-Scanlon and Shevlin-Hixon were the mills facing each other across the Deschutes River competing for pine logs to make into lumber.
