Return of Whychus Creek

The Deschutes River Conservancy (DRC) hired us to produce a video to showcase the restoration of water flows in Whychus Creek in Sisters, Oregon. The story unfolds with drone footage of the Deschutes River through the four seasons, and then is told through interviews of key stakeholders that came together to accomplish increased flows of cool water that are helping to restore stream conditions to support the successful reintroduction of salmon and steelhead in Whychus Creek.

The video has been viewed at various events, and will primarily be utilized at DRC’s annual fundraiser gala in May 2019 to bolster fundraising efforts. Shorter video clips and still images from the video will be utilized to enhance their fundraising campaign throughout their newsletter and online presence.

Wahoo Films excels at taking complicated stories and distilling them down to a simple message that compels the viewer to care and act. Working with them is easy and efficient. We were very happy with the work that they did for us at the Deschutes River Conservancy.
